Flawed is finally public!

Yes! I'm so happy! My book Flawed is finally public on Inkpop.com!

http://inkpop.com/projects/83595/flawed/

I'd love you forever if you went and read it, and possibly commented and/or picked it. I'd die of happiness. I really want some feedback from it!

I've worked really hard on this, the hardest off all my books yet, and I'm determined to finish this one! I started it on December 17th, 2010, and now it's finally reached over 10,000 words on April 30th, 2011!

Here is the most recently updated pitch-

Popularity has a price, it just depends on how far you'll go to pay it.

" Sometimes you trust too many people, and they don't deserve it at all. I've been lied to my entire life, and I'm just finding this out now. Turns out the people I thought I could truly trust, shattered that relationship like a broken vase. I'm stuck in the middle now, not sure where to turn, going insane. Now that I know the ugly truth hidden behind their eyes, I'm hopelessly lost."

Dakota Wright thought she had everything. Popularity, amazing friends, a great boyfriend, the latest fashions, and incredible dancing skills. Once she leaves the dull Rexford High and enters The San Diego School of Preforming Arts, she loses it all. Her baseball star boyfriend and fabulous Rexford friends aren't as trustful as she believed they were. She's no longer a queen- be of the school, and she'll go to new heights to get her crown back. And Dakota thought she was so talented until she met the students at this new school! Then to top it all, a horrible family secret is uncovered that will change how people see her and alter her life forever. No matter how much Dakota wants to be perfect, she'll always be flawed.

Please read it if you get a chance! I'd really appreciate it!

Wedding tag!

Qui @ http://wearcapefly.blogspot.com/ tagged me in her Wedding post that was in honor of the Royal Wedding that took place this morning! I watched some of it. That was a crazy amount of people that were in the streets! The bride looked beautiful, she defiantly had her fairy- tale wedding!

1) The Groom.

Well like Qui said, we can't choose who we marry. But, if I was able to choose, I would want my groom to be handsome, skinny, and muscular (duh.) I would like him to be the type of person I am, not a partier, drinker, or smoker. I don't want to marry someone with tattoos all over their body, one is okay but a bunch is unattractive. I hope that he will have the same interests as me. also hope he is Christian. I hope my husband has blue or brown eyes, I love those colored eyes on guys. Any kind of colored hair is good, Blonde Brunette or Redhead is fine with me.

Even if my husband isn't all those things, I don't care. I just want to find a husband, period, whom I love and he loves me back.

2) The Place.

I sometimes used to dream about having a wedding on the beach, but it would be too difficult. It would be really windy and messy, and people would have to travel and WHO KNOWS HOW MUCH GAS OR PLANE TICKETS WILL COST BY THAT TIME! So I hope to have my wedding in a nice little church with a nice priest, or an outdoor setting, just as long as it doesn't rain. I'd do a late spring or summer wedding so it's warm.

3) The Song.

I haven't really thought about this. I'm not exactly sure. All I know is I want it to be beautiful. Not depressing. Especially no bag-pipes, those things make me think of death.

4) The Dresses.

This is a hard one.

For brides maids, I would like their color to be either light pink or light blue, or maybe teal. It depends.

For my gown, I'm not sure. Here's some I like..

I really like the mermaid style wedding dresses!

Reader's Ramble- The Extraordinary Secrets of April, May, and June.

For my third Reader's Ramble, I will be reviewing the novel The Extraordinary Secrets of April, May, and June by Robin Benway.

"Three sisters, three extraordinary, life-changing powers!

Three sisters share a magical, unshakable bond in this witty high-concept novel from the critically acclaimed author of Audrey, Wait! Around the time of their parents’ divorce, sisters April, May, and June recover special powers from childhood—powers that come in handy navigating the hell that is high school. Powers that help them cope with the hardest year of their lives. But could they have a greater purpose? April, the oldest and a bit of a worrier, can see the future. Middle-child May can literally disappear. And baby June reads minds—everyone’s but her own. When April gets a vision of disaster, the girls come together to save the day and reconcile their strained family. They realize that no matter what happens, powers or no powers, they’ll always have each other. Because there’s one thing stronger than magic: sisterhood."

Plot- This book has what fellow blogger Qui would like to call "WPS" or Weak Plot Syndrome. Nothing really happens for a while. They get super powers in the beginning and are all confused, then it's not until the end where the action actually starts. I mean it's a good plot, it just takes a while to get to the main, intense mystery scene.

Setting- The setting fits in with the book. It helps the reader relate to everything that happens. It's in a normal town, even though these girls are far from normal.

Theme- I loved the theme of this story. Even though I don't have sisters, it still warmed my heart. I would say the main theme is sisterhood and family. The author shows that family is really important and you should always try and keep them in your life. Sure you may fight but in the end they'll always love you.

Characters- For the most part I liked them. They seemed like they could actually be real people. They had real, relateable situations. Each sister has a different personality which I thought was interesting. I found characteristics of myself in all three of them, so it's hard to pick a favorite. There were qualities of each sister that I liked and disliked, so I really can't choose. April is probably in the lead though, then June, then May.

Overall- This wasn't my favorite book ever, but it wasn't my least favorite either. It took a while for things to get exciting in the book. They got their powers right away, then nothing really happened in the middle of the story, then towards the end things started to heat up again.

One thing I didn't understand is how the sisters got their powers. Like did they just randomly develop them? Did they fall in a pit of magic acid or something? All it tells the reader is that their grandmother was a mind reader, like June, so it's in the family. But how did those family members get those powers? It never explained that.

Sometimes my eyes got lost while reading. With the three sisters talking all together was a bit confusing sometimes. I wasn't sure who was saying what sometimes.

One thing I really liked is that it was told in different points of view. That helped me get each sister's different side of the story and learn more about them.

I like the cover of this story. I think it's cute, BUT, I don't like when authors put pictures of characters on covers. Because the reader is supposed to imagine the character them self. Like I'd be imagining June my own way, then I'd look at the cover and be like "Oh. She's not supposed to look like that." Some people may like pictures though, but that's my opinion. The title isn't really that creative either.

The rating system-
1 star= Hated book, not worth the read, I don't recommend it to anyone.
2 stars= Didn't really like it, not worth time, but some might enjoy it.
3 stars= Just okay, nothing too exciting. Just decent.
4 stars= Liked it, worth the time and money, would recommend it.
5 stars= Loved it! Favorite read! Simply amazing! A must- read!

SO, despite it's flaws, I rate this book-

4 out of 5 stars! So I liked it, it's worth the time and money, would recommend it.

Teach you how to use Wedding Dress

There is a great need for an approach to facilitate hair and makeup preparations and choice and buy of accessories, despite the unavailability wedding dresses. The methods of the current invention present a solution though the use of a substantially similar stand-in for the top portion of a wedding gown. This stand-in hereafter will be often called the transportable practice garment.

Embodiment of the current invention is a system for selling a wedding dress that includes also selling a PPG that is substantially similar to the top portion of the dress. Another embodiment of the invention is a system of selling wedding dresses to retailers that includes also selling PPGs that are substantially similar to the top portions of the dresses. Another embodiment of the invention is a system of selling wedding dresses to brides-to-be that includes selling a PPG that is substantially similar to the top portion of the dress. A bride-to-be then can use the PPG as they decide on hair and makeup as well as what jewelry best would coordinate together with her dress style.

Signaled by the familiar notes of Wagner's Bridal Chorus, or a sudden fanfare of Clarke's Trumpet Voluntary, the guests rise and all eyes are focused on the back of the room. This is the moment the fairy story that small girls dream of comes true. It is the beginning of "happily ever after".
Whether they is wearing an elegant and sophisticated silk sheath or an extravagant Cinderella-like ball gown, the moment a bride makes her entrance is often the most moment in her life. This moment does not happen because the bride opened her closet door, throw on the first thing they could find, and pulled her hair back in a scrunch. In most cases, it takes plenty of weeks or even months of preparation.

Why does it take so long to prepare for such a brief moment? Most would agree that it is all about the dress. The bride's first step is not down the aisle, but is in lieu in to a bridal salon. After trying on several gowns, and possibly even shedding a sentimental tear or, the "perfect" dress is finally chosen. Times the dress is picked, that is the beginning. The bride still needs a veil or other hairpiece. They need to settle on shoes. They need to pick the ideal pieces of jewelry to coordinate with the dress. They need to settle on a hairstyle, and most likely have her hair dresser practice the style to make definite that it is "just right." They needs to find undergarments that will make everything lie smoothly without being visible. They may also need to make definite that her makeup will perfectly coordinate with the fabric of the dress, and make definite that they doesn't have any unusual looking tan lines.

Of the issues that plenty of brides encounter after selecting the "perfect" dress is that it may be months before they is actually able to take the dress home. This can make the preparing and purchasing of all of the items that go along with the dress difficult, as the dress can not fundamentally be brought along to coordinate things. It may even be the case that the bride purchases her dress in geographical location while living in another location, possibly not even the same state. In that case while they gather the other items, they would not even be able to "visit" her dress or a sample show room dress to make definite things truly coordinate. In addition, even if the bride can "possess" her dress well before the marriage day, most gowns are impractical to move from shop to shop. It would even be ridiculous to imagine the bride-to-be in her actual bridal gown in the work of a practice hair and make-up session weeks before the marriage, or wearing the gown in a tanning booth. What if the gown got dirty, torn, or even lost, while it was hauled around from place to place?
Therefore, there is a great need for an approach to facilitate hair and makeup preparations and choice and buy of accessories, despite the unavailability of the marriage dress and even if it is available, despite the risk of damage or loss to the marriage dress. The approach would need to be workable soon after the dress was chosen and would need to be consistent with issues of distance.

Is it just me, or do A LOT of dancers blog?

It seems like every blog I go to, the person is a dancer! It's crazy!

Like did any one else notice that occurrence? That A TON of us on here are dancers?

For example out of the people that follow me and that I follow, Marisa, Qui, Amaranthine, Elanor Lawerence, Converse Nerd (I think) and Bailey all dance. There's probably more that I don't even know about! Another girl I follow named Jedi Chick dances too, but she doesn't know about me.

If you're a dancer too and I don't know it, leave a comment!

I just think it's a weird coincidence. Is there something about dancers that makes us want to blog?
I love talking to other dancers about dance. It's just nice to hear outside opinions on things and their favorite types of dance.

Speaking of that, what is your favorite type of dance? Mine is hip hop. That's one type of dance I won't deny I'm pretty good at. Hence why I like it so much. You get to add your own style to it and really challenge yourself. You have to hit everything on the mark and have facial expressions or it looks like crap. I'm in a hip hop duet and a hip hop large group. The hip hop duet is my favorite duet I ever had.

I love Jazz/ Musical Theatre dancing too. Lyrical/ Contemporary is beautiful. Tap is fun. Gymnastics.. I like it but I'm terrible at it. Ballet is just the one I don't like very much. I mean I don't HATE IT. It's just boring.

We did pretty good at competitions. I'm sad it's over. Are any of you on a competition team?

Our recital is in June. I'll have 8 dances. Well 11 if you count the ones I teach and have to memorize to show on the side of the stage so the little dancers don't forget.

And how about those guys that say dance isn't a sport? What do you other dancers think? Here's my opinion-

PFFT! CAN YOU DO A SPLIT? A TRIPLE TURN? KICK YOUR LEG TO YOUR HEAD? HOLD A PERFECT SMILE ON YOUR FACE FOR A LONG TIME? MEMORIZE COUNTLESS COMBINATIONS? STAND ON THE TOP OF YOUR TOES? LOOK GRACEFUL AND PLEASANT WHILE DOING EXTREMELY HARD MOVES?

I DOUBT IT.

Select Designer Wedding Dresses

To get luxurious wedding dresses from distinguished artists, but still stay on a budget, you must shop around. It is not difficult to discover a dress that fits you and your budget in the event you grasp some tips.

Wedding always cost thousands of dollars. But an immense proportion of money is spent on the marriage dress. Every girl has favor to branded items. Therefore, while selecting the marriage wear, they are fundamentally attracted by designer wedding dresses, which frequently go against with their original budgets.

It is a great idea to buy the designer wedding dress from manufacturer or factory directly. The dress is not changed hands among middle businessmen. You can get them on cheap prices, which may be out of your expectation. Most foreign companies send their orders to China today. A immense part of the marriage dresses being shown in their stores are made in China. Therefore, in the event you plan to buy your wedding gown from the factory directly, it is advisable to buy it from China manufacturers, in lieu of local suppliers.

There are lots of stores offering you elegant designer wedding dresses. You can receive a great deal if shopping around lots of different locations, doing lots of comparisons and researches. A bridal wear from the distinguished designer can be finally found. It will make you and your wedding pop out without breaking your wallet.

You will smirk if finding a wedding dress store that is holding sales promotion activities. Store owners tend to provide customers with discounts on some festivals. Also, most of products will be on sale around the ending of a year. You will be reluctant to let those and modern wedding gowns slip.

Any fashion-conscious girl must have realized shopping online is an important way to get stunning designer wedding dresses on affordable prices. The lowest priced prices are found online because there are less business taxes and rents for online retailers. It does not matter whether the store is located inland or abroad. Most online companies provide customers with free shipping and strong guarantees. You only need to pick the style carefully. Usually speaking, ordering over items will be given more discounts. Therefore, it is wise to buy the wear together along with your friends.

The last method to economize on the bridal wear is using the dress passed down from your sister. Do not worry if the style looks like out-of-date. It is your own wedding. What guests care most is whether the dress fits you and makes them see your best. It is ok if the wedding dress makes you look great and feel lovely although the style is not exactly what you need.

I'm home early..

I got to come home today about two hours early today. Why?

There was a GAS LEAK at our school!

We were just all sitting in 5th period normally and I was reading my book. Then all of a sudden the Secretary comes on the announcements and is like "Do not dismiss students to 6th period and do not report to lunch." I'm like GREAT! NOT LIKE IM HUNGRY OR ANYTHING.

Then about ten minutes later the principal comes on the loud speaker and informs us there's a "Suspicious Unknown Odor" coming from the cafeteria, so we couldn't eat in there. So they put all the tables in the gym and we had to eat lunch in the smelly hot gym! I eat the first lunch, and unfortunately the odor got so bad the other two lunches couldn't eat!

They made us all stay in our sixth period classes and we weren't aloud in the halls. You know as students we get our hopes up that we'll be sent home early. Then my sixth period teacher and mother confirms we are going home for sure. We all started cheering and dancing around and hugging because you know we all hate school so much.

THEN they had to evacuate us to the sports complex next door. So we were crammed in our school's OTHER gym for about a half hour waiting for the buses to arrive. As we were leaving I saw several fire trucks behind my school, and it even went on the city's news website.

So that was my excitement for the day. They wouldn't let us go to our lockers before we were evacuated so I have none of my homework! YAY! I'm hoping we won't have school tomorrow..

So now I sit here. I think I'm going to go write. Ta ta for now.

Comparing Fashion in different Cultures.

Comparisons:
Although you may think that since Fashion is all around the World there would be a huge difference between the fashion styles in New York to the styles in Milan, they all seem to have the same color genre as eachother. Along with some of the main looks that are going to be "in" for next year.   There are some differences in the fashion in the United States compared to Spain, Italy. London and France.
Differences:
European styles are more conservative than United States. European fashion is longer and covers up more where as fashion in the U.S. is more hippy like and shows more of your body.  European style is more put-together whereas American style is more relaxed. Europeans aren't as brand-conscious either.

Fashion in London

The main fashion styles in London:
There is so much more to the fashion in London. Let's start with Sinuous silk cocktail dresses with printed  closeups from Delaroche's famous portrait of Lady Jane Grey,  high white collars and pure lines were inspired by "the innocent look".The long red dresses are becoming popular for 2012 along with, black pant suits, striped dresses, shirts, shorts and sweaters. How most Italians look everyday:
Elegance is in the Italian blood, and most Italians would give up comfort in order to achieve it. Italy is a nation that cherishes outward appearances. Yes, it is great if you have a good heart, but Italians would expect you to have well-groomed hair, an impeccable sense of dressing and a really neat pair of shoes besides.

The main fashion for next year:
heavy fabrics, dark colored pantsuits and shoe styles like the Oxford. Not to mention the military-inspired caps seen with many of these looks and their decidedly 80s, Madonna-esque vibe. If you're looking to be on trend be sure to add a few menswear-inspired items to your wardrobe, whether it be a chic blazer or fall's popular cropped pant. Whether or not you like or agree with wearing fur, its back in a big way on the fashion runways. Including frame bags, tailored jackets and below-the-knee skirts. Think streamlined, minimal and feminine. Gorgeous jewel tones like teal and purple are the main colors for next year as well as your typical blacks and greys, and A LOT of snakeskin shoes, and dresses.

Fashion in Spain

The fashion trends in Spain for 2011-2012 are:
A good pair of indigo boot cut jeans; these can be dressed up or down. Black trousers. Black pencil skirt to wear with little cardis and white shirt. A fitted white shirt. Black jumper or cardigan. Many French fashion brands you can buy in the main department stores.
What is in for 2012 in France:

The selection of  wool, felt, silk, knit, stretch leather and transparent jersey composes the modern vision of woman with the DNA of Amaya Arzuaga. Questions about NaNoWriMo

I just joined the NanoWrimo website. I know National Novel Writing Month isn't until November but I felt like joining now. Of you're on there, add me. My name is PaigeW (like inkpop).

I'm just really confused on how it all works. They sent me that giant email like they promised and I still don't understand. I know you must reach 50,000 words to "win". But my question is..

Say I wanted to use a story I already started, like Flawed for example. Which only has about 9,500 words currently. Could I use that novel to try and reach 50,000 with it?

OR.. do I need to start clean off at ZERO words on a whole new story in November? That's where I'm confused. So if anyone knows and could let me know, I'd really appreciate it.

And what are those region things they're talking about? Does where I live determine the writing region I'm in? GAH.

And what is the GiftTool URL?

I want to be prepared this year, that's why I'm asking these things now. Please if any of you know answers to my questions, please leave comments! Remember to add me on there! I need writing buddies :)

Only 1 follower away until 40!

I'm excited and surprised. I have 39 followers! I never thought I'd get this many! Thanks guys!

I WISH I could drink some lemonade. I just got two cavities filled so my mouth is completely numb and I can't eat or drink. Woo hoo.

I'm also currently at 9553 words for my book Flawed. I'm hoping to get it public on Inkpop this weekend! I'll do a post whenever its public, trust me. Only 447 more words to go!

So this was a pretty random post.. so here watch this random, hilarious video, You'll laugh really hard..

And watch this one.. it's addicting!

Paramore. We've all heard of them, and if you haven't, where have you been? Before yesterday Paramore was just another band to me. I knew they were good but I actually didn't own any of their music.

So I was listening to a Glee CD and heard them do "Only Exception." I became obsessed with it and wanted to buy the real version, and I discovered Paramore sang the original. While on iTunes I began to listen to a couple more of their songs. I ended up buying a bunch..

"You are the only exception.

I've got a tight grip on reality, but I can't let go of what's in front of me here.

I know you're leaving in the morning when you wake up.
Leave me with some kind of proof it's not a dream.

You are the only exception."

-The Only Exception.

"You can't tell me to heal. And, it hurts remembering how it felt to shut down.

Can't be too careful anymore,

When all that is waiting for you, Won't come any closer, You've got to reach out a little more.

The truth never set me, So, I'll do it myself."

-Careful.

"Think of me when you're out, When you're out there I'll beg you nice from my knees, And when the world treats you way too fairly, Well it's a shame I'm a dream.

All I wanted was you,

All I wanted was you.

I think I'll pace my apartment a few times, and fall asleep on the couch. Wake up early, the black and white re-runs that escape from my mouth, oh,

All I wanted was you"

-All I wanted.

Merry Easter!

It was a trending topic on Twitter.

Anyways, Happy Easter! Hope the Easter bunny was good to you all and you got tons of candy! I got tons of chocolate, I'm going to gain ten pounds! OH WELL...

I went the entire Lent season without eating a special big cookie from my school that I am ADDICTED TO!! I am proud. I almost went crazy and took my friend's cookie a few times, but I knew I had to resist.

If Jesus can give up his LIFE for us I can give up a stupid cookie. Jesus rose from the dead today though, the grave couldn't hold him! He's too amazing and loving! So thank you Jesus for sacrificing everything for us.

Last year on Easter.. April 4th, my uncle died of Melanoma Cancer. It was really sad because when we got the call everyone was at our house for an Easter dinner and it was like a cry fest, literally. But I know God needed him and he's up there in Heaven watching us all. He died on Easter, that has to mean something right? At least that's what we told ourselves when we were so upset.

The Bunny came this morning and left me some awesome candy!

One thing I got were Cadbury Mini Chocolate Eggs. If you haven't tried these, YOU NEED TO! And if you have, aren't they soo delicious?

These eggs always remind me of my Grandma who died years ago. She always used to have these around the Easter season at her house, and when I went to visit I always ate them. So she was the one who introduced me to these little bites of sunshine.

And one other funny thing I got was..

A cell phone shaped Saris Chocolate! Isn't that cute?

And the other day Bailey @ http://www.thoughtsofachoirgirl.blogspot.com/ and I dyed some Easter eggs!

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter! (If you celebrate it.)

I know how to put them on the sidebar as a gadget, but is there a way I can add those under all my posts?
