Once apon a time, there was a bored girl named Paige. Exactly a year ago today, she decided to make a blog. She didn't think it would come to anything at all. She figured it would just be a little unseen sight where she would post random things, helping her become more experienced as an aspiring writer. A few posts were posted, and no comments were made. Paige didn't really mind, this was just a little hobby. Then she got her first comment, and it was someone giving her a Versatile Blogger Award. Paige was shocked, she never even thought anyone viewed her blog.
She was wrong.
And now exactly a year later, that little, meaningless blog has 102 followers and 16,160 page views.
Yes, today The 828 turns one year old! Has it been a year already? Wow, they grow up so fast! *tear*
That story is completely true. When I started this blog, I was still totally into being a journalist ( and I still am, somewhat) But, this blog was going to be like my own little news blog, just to post about things I thought were exciting in the world. Which I do occasionally, but not really.
Now, I don't even really know what type of blog this is. Hm. I guess it's a little bit of a book blog, and a writing blog, and a blog for teen girls, random stuff. It's a mix of all sorts of things now.
Over the past year, I've met (well you know, met on the internet) some pretty amazing bloggers, and you all know who you are. Thank you all of you, for being my inspiration to blog. For always commenting. For putting my button on your sidebars. For even looking at this blog once and a while. Because without you guys, I would have stopped blogging a long time ago!
And I mean, it's a pretty beautiful blog isn't it? That's all thanks to Evie at Twin Butterfly Designs- go check her out!
This blog and all of you guys helped me discover my love for reading at writing. I found out about TONS of cool books from the blogger world, and learned a lot more about writing since I've been on here. Now, my main dream is to be an author.
So like I said above, I never thought this blog would amount to anything, but I mean look at it now! I never dreamed of even having 50 followers, let alone 100! Thank you so much, guys!

May 2011 was my most popular month, topping all the other months in page view numbers. May was also the month where I had the most posts.
I've gotten a total of 1121 comments.
I've done a total of 302 posts.
The post that I got the most comments on so far is Why did you start writing? I'm glad, because I really like that post.
My most popular post was Dance Moms, really? I think that's because someone else on another site linked to me in their article about Dance Moms, but still.
